Breadwinner tips
Whether you’re the sole breadwinner or may kahati ka sa gastusin, there are ways to get better with your finances at magkaroon ka ng peace of mind. Pwede ka mag-start sa ilang tips:
-
Speak to your family – Importanteng pag-usapan bilang isang pamilya ang inyong expenses; ano ang inyong priorities na kailangang gastusan. Huwag kang pangunahan ng hiya. Begin by opening a family conversation and identifying your expenses. Discuss what you can remove, such as frequent out-of-town vacations and underutilized online subscriptions. Mas mabuti kung gagawin niyo ito regularly, pwedeng every month, so you can adjust your expenses.

-
Set and follow a budget – Having a budget in mind should also help you manage your resources. One budgeting guide is the 50-30-20 plan, which means 50% goes to monthly expenses, 30% goes to non-essential expenses, and 20% goes to savings and investments. Adjust mo lang ito ayon sa availability ng iyong income at needs of the family. There are many budgeting hacks and guides to help you. Check out examples on Earnest.

-
Take care of yourself – You can’t take care of your family if you’re not doing OK mentally and physically dahil sa financial stress. Treat mo rin ang sarili mo. Enjoy your time with your family. Basta may budget, mag-travel kayo, have a picnic, or kahit manood lang ng movies at home. Find what makes you happy and enjoy it as best as you can.

As a breadwinner, when you lead and invite your family in planning, your financial health improves. Proud ka pang ka-share mo ang family sa achievement na ito!
