BYOB - Build your own budget
- August 4, 2026

Malaking tulong ang mga templates at common budgeting methods, but they’re just one way to do it. Kaya baka ang “best budget” na hinahanap mo is actually one that’s based on your unique situation and needs — whether you create the budget from scratch, or you customize from a budgeting method or template.
First, understand your expenses

Expenses are an essential part of our lives. A budget will help make sure na aligned sa goals at needs mo ang mga gastusin mo. Kaya sa pagbuo ng budget, get to know what expenses build up your personal lifestyle.
On the other hand, your Variable Expenses change per month.
Next, decide on your priorities

List all your income and expenses, at i-categorize mo kung alin ang fixed at alin ang variable, at alin ang mga pinaka-importante sa’yo. Then reflect on these considerations:
-
What is your current capacity? From your income minus your expenses, mayroon bang natitira? Kung meron, saan mo ilalagay ‘to?
-
What are your future goals? Car, home, business, insurance, etc. Magkano ang kailangan mo para dito?
-
How do you want to achieve your goals?
Importanteng may natatabi ka for your future goals.
Finally, build your own budget

Now that you have an overview of your capacity, priorities, and goals, pwede ka nang magsimulang bumuo ng budget. I-review mo ang iyong variable expenses and see where you can adjust to make room for your goals. Mag-explore ng low-cost alternatives at mag-save. At the same time, pwede ka rin mag-allocate ng “fun money” for simple joys like a beauty treatment, a night out, or a small treat for your well-being. Your budget should help you avoid overspending, but it should also support your needs and priorities without depriving you.
Ngayong alam mo na ang basics ng pagbuo ng budget, you understand why there’s no “one size fits all.” Your “best budget method” is actually in your hands. Now it’s the right fit for you because you made it yourself.
